Missing KPMG Partner David Ibels Found Dead
This week, a highly successful KPMG partner David dead body was found near a national park. His recent social media posts show how he marked a major achievement at the consultancy firm.
David Ibels was a partner at a ‘Big Four’ consultancy firm and a key figure in developing KPMG Australia’s $800 million Brisbane headquarters at Heritage Laneshe, as per News.co.au.
He was married to a barrister wife Anastasia Nicholas, and had a young daughter together. He lived in a multi-million-dollar house.
According to reports, the family lived in New Farm, in Brisbane’s inner suburbs, in a house worth $3.6 million dollars.
On Wednesday last week, Mr. David remarked on a friend’s LinkedIn post to congratulate her on landing a new job, he wrote, “Congratulations, Maddy! Fantastic role and opportunity. Enjoy and best wishes.”
Mr Ibels was promoting his new office on LinkedIn and wrote, “Roll out the blue carpet … several years of hard work culminated in the opening of KPMG Australia’s new Brisbane HQ at Heritage Lanes this week,”
“This is a brilliant workplace with exceptional amenities for our staff and clients to connect, collaborate, grow, and make a significant impact.”
Did KPMG Brisbane Partner Suicide?
A 43-year-old man named David Ibels went missing on 21 October near the Mount Tamborine area, south of Brisbane. He was last seen early on a Saturday morning. His car, a Porsche Cayenne station wagon, was found near Springbrook National Park the following Sunday.
This discovery led to an extensive search in the area. Unfortunately, during this search, rescue teams found the body of a 75-year-old man named William Marshall on Monday. He had gone missing from his home in Thornlands, a suburb of Brisbane, on July 10.
On that same day, the search teams, which included police, firefighters, and employees from KPMG, also found Mr. Ibels’ body around 2 p.m.
Friends of Mr Ibels pleaded for help in the local Tamborine Community Facebook group this week,
“A very good friend and colleague has gone missing in the Mt Tamborine area. We are very concerned about his welfare and would like your help in locating him,” A friend wrote.
“This has been reported to the local police but we would like the help of your community to find him.
“His wife and young daughter are very concerned and would like to speak to him.”
