Jerries was the first main character in the television series who left the series due to conflict with staff and also was the only character to leave the Special Victims Unit.
Actress Michelle Hurd left the SVU show after playing her character in two seasons of the series. She made her last appearance in the episode of The Runaway, the second season’s episode.
However, Michelle felt that more female characters should be part of the sexual crimes unit. She said, “I understand the industry, and what networks want, and they wanted someone to have an impact, a rating.”
