He worked for ABC for over 39 years, according to his obituary.
He died after suffering a lot of injuries due to a bicycle accident. Following his accident, he was rushed to Los Robles Hospital for medical treatment and eight days later he succumbed to death.
He cycled in several places such as San Diego and Westlake Village, California, as per The Sun. The photographer retired from his job in August 2023 and was planning to travel across Australia’s cities with his family.

Sjodin’s obituary also described “the family and friends who rushed to his side” at the clinic and “who sat with him through those agonizing eight days before his passing.”
His obituary continued, “The family will miss Craig’s companionship on our long bike rides, our marathon pickleball sessions, his unquenchable thirst for Arnold Palmer drinks, his sense of humor and infectious laughter. He was the youngest 67-year-old we have ever known.”
Craig Sjodin was survived by her wife and his beloved son Ryan and his sisters, Brenda (Dave) Rickey, Nancy Nickoloff, and Linda Hughes, as well as his niece Kerri (Jeff) Lane and grand-nieces Avery and Grace Lane.
