The 37-year-old TV personality, Coleen Rooney, who is married to footballer Wayne Rooney, believed that her secret Instagram posts were being shared with an English newspaper, The Sun, which likes to write about famous people.
Coleen shared the fake stories on her private Instagram and she blocked everyone except one account. Her one viewer shared the stories with the press, in the story it was mentioned that Coleen and Wayne’s $20 Morrisons mansion flooded after a heavy storm Lorenzo.
Rebekah Vardy, the wife of footballer Jamie Vardy, was suspected that she was who told The Sun about Rooney’s private posts.
Coleen Rooney reportedly accused Rebekah of leaking her personal or private social media posts. Rooney writes on her Twitter account, “For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.
“I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them.
“It’s ……………. Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Ms. Coleen Rooney hopped onto social media to describe the story of her private leaks she wrote on Twitter, “This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it……”
The two media personalities hit the headlines on 9 October 2019 after Ms. Coleen Rooney made a very public charge that Vardy had been “leaking” posts from her private Instagram to the press. She revealed that the only viewer of the story was Rebekah.
Ms. Rebekah who was pregnant at the time and going to birth to her child responded to these allegations that she was not involved in this matter.
“Can’t believe I’m even having to write this. I’m pregnant & on holiday & am at a loss to why she would do this. I’m now having to take legal advice as I can’t deal with this stress myself when I’m this pregnant.”
Later, in 2020, Vardy sued Rooney for libel. On 29 July 2022, the court dismissed Vardy’s claim on the basis that Rooney’s remarks were true. Then, Ms. Vardy was ordered to pay a sufficient amount to Rooney’s expenses.
