Holly Willoughby, one of the high-profile television personalities from British, announced Tuesday that she will no longer be from her presenting role on the ITV network’s daytime program “This Morning,” just a few days after a man was charged in connection with an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her.

In an Instagram post, she clarified, “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.

Holly Willoughby, 42, has been absent from ITV’s program This Morning since 5 October after a 36-year-old man was charged with an alleged conspiracy to kidnap and murder the presenter.
The man was arrested on 4 October for solicitation and incitement over an alleged plot to abduct and murder her. The suspect was making plans with another man to kill the 42-year-old television presenter.
The suspect called his friend and reportedly told him that he had “assembled a kidnap and restraint kit capable of encouraging or assisting the commission of the kidnap of Holly Willoughby.”
On 5 October, Holly was made aware of the story and was taken into protective custody.
The suspect, Gavin Plumb was remanded into custody on charges of soliciting to commit murder and incitement to kidnap. Further investigation on this case is on the way and a plea hearing was scheduled for November at Chelmsford Crown Court.
