Steven took social media to share sad news and said, “I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days.”
Further, he added, “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
In a statement, Tyler said when the tour was announced in May 2023, “We’re opening up Pandora’s box one last time to present our fans with the Peace Out tour. Be there or beware as we bring all the toys out of the attic. Get ready.”
The band recently announced an update about Steven Tyler via a social media post:
“As many of you know. Our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years. After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery.”
Aerosmith ultimately performed scheduled dates in 2022 but canceled its last two residency shows in December, in the wake of Steven Tyler’s health.

Steven Tyler, 75, left fans in grief after it was announced that due to a painful health update, he was forced to sit out the next few dates of Aerosmith’s tour.
Steven Victor Tallarico, known professionally as Steven Tyler injured his vocal cords while performing on 9th September’s show subsequently all the shows have been postponed.
The rescheduled dates have been announced, and the canceled show will take place on January 29, 2024, in Detroit until February 29 in Cleveland.
A social media post clarifies, “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend. Fans with questions regarding refunds are asked to reach out to their point of purchase.”
A fan commented after listening to the news, “I almost had a heart attack…” and: “Don’t feel bad. I destroy my throat just trying to sing along,” as well as: “Health comes first. I think touring at this stage should be one show a week.”
Another gushed, “This is no surprise for his age. He’s one of the greatest frontmen to ever grace music… And one of the most unbelievable, and most powerful, and most recognizable voices in history. At his age singing this material is pure hell. As a frontman I understand it. Get well, Steven, although I hate it for the fans that planned a lot to be there for these shows.”
