The television presenter Rylan Clark got engaged to Big Brother 14 housemate Dan Neal in September 2014. The pair decided to get married and their wedding took place on 7 November 2015.
In June 2021, it was announced that the couple had split after six years of marriage. Later, Rylan had a breakdown and took four months off work. He also opened up that he tried to end his life on multiple times.
The former X factor star, Clark dealt with suicidal thoughts after his marriage broke down. He admitted that he cheated on his partner, speaking to an outlet:
“I am so, so strong but I was so broken, to the point where I physically couldn’t dress, I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t do none of these things.”

He married to Dan Neal in 2016. Dan is an ex-Metropolitan Police detective, where he worked on Operation Yewtree for over a decade.
Rylan, 34, candidly revealed in a podcast interview by Fearne Cotton, “My body did completely shut down. I wouldn’t eat. I went through a stage where I couldn’t even talk, which for some people might be quite handy. My speech was just slurred. My mum thought I was having a stroke. My body just went. I went down to 9st and I am six-foot-four.”
“I can’t remember what made me disappear basically from the person I knew. But the next thing I knew I could not see, hear, eat, breathe, sleep – I couldn’t do anything.”
He continued, “And yeah, there was no signs of me having a break down, there was no signs of – like if you’re having a heart attack, you’ll get the pains in your arm, you’ll get this… you know something’s about to happen even if it’s seconds before.”
