ABC shortly canceled the show after the show’s lead, Roseanne Barr shared a series of racist tweets taking her Twitter account, the tweets included about an African-American woman who was a senior adviser to Barack Obama Valerie Jarrett, she has been throughout his presidency and considered one of his most influential aides.

Later, Roseanne Barr felt sorry but it was too late, ABC’s entertainment president, Channing Dungey made a statement and said, “Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant, and inconsistent with our values.”

Roseanne Barr’s show had enormous viewers at the time, after celebrating the show’s success, she renewed for an 11th season of 13 episodes but ABC canceled the show, Roseanne on 29 May 2018.
In June, ABC announced Roseanne’s spin-off entitled The Conners, which premiered in October 2018.

One stupid Joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks and studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will never b taken from me.”
After some time, Roseanne Barr deleted both tweets she shared from her Twitter account and apologized.
