Recently a tragedy happened in Nottingham, two students along with an old man have fatally murdered. Police arrested a 31-year-old suspect and police said that he will be in custody. This incident shocked the whole country, and as of now, police are investigating the incident that why the suspect killed these three people.
Nottingham Fatally Murder:
Basically, on June 13, 2023, a 31 years old man hit three people and killed them as per reports. Among those three people, there were two students named “Barnaby Webber” (19) and “Grace O’Malley-Kumar”(19) and another man was “Ian Coates”(65). As per “BBC”, the 31-year-old suspect was originally from West Africa but had been in the UK for many years and had settled status.
As per sources, the suspect didn’t have any criminal record. The University of Nottingham said in a statement, “We are devastated that the suspect is a former University of Nottingham student. The police have confirmed that this is not believed to be connected with the attack.
“Our focus remains on supporting the family and friends of Barney and Grace and our wider community. We will continue to support the police in any way we can.” Nottingham City Council leader David Mellen said the city was in “shock and mourning”, while the city’s three MPs said the area had been “devastated” by the bloodshed.
Nottingham Murder Victims:
The two teenage (Barnaby Webber and Grace O’Malley-Kumar) were students at Nottingham University and both were at the age of 19. The body of these teenagers was found on Ilkeston Road around 04:00 BST fatally injured and after some time at around 05:00, they found the third body of the man whose van was apparently stolen was found with knife wounds on Magdala Road, just under 3.2 km from the scene of the first two killings. Well, as of now, the Police are investigating the killings that what was the reason behind it.
Who was Ian Coates?
It broke my heart what’s happened… It killed me” said Ian Coates’s friend “Mr, Ben Dutton”. Well, Ian Coates was a caretaker at a school and was a friend of Ben Dutton who met Coates at the age of 13. As per some sources, Mr, Coates was a 65 years old man who was killed in recent fatally murder in Nottingham. Ian has been described as a “selfless man” and a “brilliant bloke” by his friend “Dutton” who is now 33 years old. Mr. Ben discovered Mr Coates’s love for angling and it wasn’t long before Coates took the kids on fishing trips after school using his own money.
