Sally Jane Janet Gunnell, professionally known as Sally Gunnell is a professional former track and field athlete from British. She got married to Jonathan Bigg, a fellow athlete of Sally. The pair first met in Australia and had been together before they tied the knot.
Jonathan Big had made the decision that he really wanted to spend the rest of his life with Sally without well knowing her.
She remains closely in touch with her husband, Jon Bigg, who was on the British coaching team in Budapest at that time and has three athletes from his training group team among the 55-strong British team, including Jemma Reekie, the 800m runner.
Jonathan Big said, in an interview, “I remember seeing Sally two years before we actually met. It was on a train going to a junior get-together. We didn’t speak and I was grouped up with the lads, and she was with a couple of girls.”
