On 20th July, Look North went missing on BBC One led to viewers being perplexed, and many fans of BBC Look North are still wondering why the local news show suddenly off the air without any obvious reason.
According to Yorkshire Live, The show abruptly missed from broadcasting because of a local news strike action at BBC.
Although, it is not the first time but local news strike occurred at BBC three times as of July 2023.
Look North is usually on BBC One at 1.30 pm, 6.30 pm, and 10.30 pm and has two variations for different provinces BBC Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and BBC North East and Cumbria.
What Has Happened to Look North?
Thursday, July 20 Look North Yorkshire was not being broadcast and the reason for the change is believed to be local news strikes that hit BBC’s News coverage in protest over cuts being made to local BBC radio services.
Due to a local news strike, BBC Look North has been taken off air several times especially three times in 2023.

After not seeing the news on BBC Look North on Thursday, a viewer took his Twitter to convey that BBC Look North in Yorkshire has been replaced by BBC North West.
