Kristin Smart was just 19 years old when she vanished after an off-campus party in San Luis Obispo in 1996. She walked home to her dormitory and this was her last day since then she was never seen again. According to reports, she was at the end of her freshman year on the campus of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
When she left the party on the night of 25th May 1996 she was seen fainting out on a lawn by two fellow students and the third student Paul Flores also joined the group to help her walk to her dorm room. Smart was legally declared dead after 6 years later of her vanished on 25 May 2002, she was murdered by Paul Flores.
Afterward, Paul Flores told to the boys that he would leave her dorm room safely due to proximity then two students went out from there. Since then, she was never seen again by someone.
On 13th April 2021, Paul Flores and his father Ruben Flores were arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of Kristin’s disappearance. Kristin Smart’s murder trial began 26 years after her disappearance in 2022.
