Kelly had a sister named Danielle Carroll, along with her husband Rhys and their five cousins.
Kelly Wilkinson died tragically in April 2021 in a horrifying incident that shocked the Gold Coast community and the nation of Australia. The incident of her death was very disturbing. So, according to some reports Kelly’s husband Brian Earl Johnston, who was an ex-US Marine, is accused of being accountable for Kelly’s death.
Allegedly, he drenched Kelly in petrol and set her on fire in the backyard of her home in Arundel, Gold Coast. Neighbors discovered her badly burnt body after the incident. At the time of this incident, her three children were inside the home and it became a horrible experience for the children for being the witness of the incident that unfolded before them.

Her husband drenched his wife Kelly in petrol and set her on fire in the backyard of the home. After this brutal murder Tamika Smith, who is an entrepreneur and the stepsister of Kelly’s sister’s husband begins a community to build a new home for the family.
They started a campaign as “I Stand With Kelly” that received overwhelming support from the Queensland construction sector, with Metricon Homes of a fully furnished seven-bedroom home for the family. Well, in Kelly’s memory, Kelly’s sister and her husband also set up the Kelly Wilkinson Foundation to help and support those who are affected by domestic violence.
Now if we talk about her husband then let me tell you that her husband remains in custody and is yet to enter an appeal and the legal proceedings have been ongoing. Apart from Kelly’s murder, the Crown has also alleged that Johnston had a history of domestic violence, including sexual violence, and that allegations will be presented during the trial.
