Kala Swaims or Kayla Swaims, who was shot Sunday at a residence near Heber Springs has been shot and killed, as per a news release from the Cleburne County sheriff’s office, Kala Swaims died Monday at a Little Rock hospital.
According to reports, the 49-year-old Kala Swaims was able to call 911 and tell first responders that her lover shot her, and then rotated the gun on himself.
Ms. Kala Swaims was airlifted to UAMS where she was found badly injured a day later.
The police deputies were dispatched around 1:12 a.m. Sunday to a residence on Windwood Drive, Ontario in reference to a woman being shot. Swaims told the deputies that she was shot by her boyfriend.
Kala’s boyfriend was 45-year-old Joey Bailey, Deputies found Bailey dead in the bedroom at a home with a gunshot wound. The Authorities said they believed the wound was self-inflicted.
Kala Swaims Murder 2018 Case
According to report news issued by Cleburne County Sheriff Chris Brown, deputies responded to a shooting Sunday morning at a residence on Windwood Drive, outside Heber Springs.
When the deputies arrived, they found Kala Swaims suffering from a gunshot wound. She informed deputies her boyfriend, named Joey Bailey, had shot her.
Kala Swaims was found badly injured and she was immediately taken to a local hospital and transferred in a critical situation by helicopter to a Little Rock hospital. After an investigation of the house, a pistol, and other items were found at the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
On Wednesday, 19 December 2018, the sheriff’s office announced that Swaims died of her injuries.
