Karen Ledbury is an Australian television personality and TV presenter known for her work on The Morning Show and infomercials. She has opened up about a frightening ordeal she experienced after she checked her phone and got a text during work from her son Jordon then she finds something went wrong she has to go.
She said ‘There were 37 missed calls from both of my eldest sons and two of my husband’s best friends. I knew something was up and then the text messages came,’
She clarified, “SOS, please help me” from my son Jordan. I thought something had happened to him so I rang him and he said I need to get to the hospital.”
She finds that her husband Aidan, 53, has a stroke and was rushed to hospital, the doctor is unable to make it. He is still in the hospital.
Her son told her, “They are not expecting him to last another half an hour”
‘It is an ongoing process. Fourteen months down the track, people get on with their lives and you are still living that every single day. I think that’s the toughest,’ Karen added.

Karen Ledbury got married to Aidan and shares three sons with him. So it was not the only ordeal she has gone through for more than a year but her son Jordan has been diagnosed with cancer. Then, Jordan underwent emergency surgery.
She explained, “I think, for a lot of people, when something like this first happens – Aidan had his stroke and he is on life support. Jordan went back to Hawaii, and one week later he rang me and said ‘I’ve just been diagnosed with cancer, I’ve got to have surgery’. I couldn’t go to Hawaii because I was here.
“Day to day it’s tough. I’m both Mum and Dad. I’m working to support the family. I’m still grieving my dad… and obviously, my son, it is an ongoing process.
“There are day-to-day battles just with that kind of stuff, and then with dealing with the day-to-day, cleaning the house, putting the washing on, cooking dinner, like all mums do,”
“So it is a real battle. 14 months down the track, people get on with their lives and you are still living that every single day. I think that’s the toughest,” Karen explained.
