MEG Energy Corporation sadly announced that Mr. Ian Bruce died on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at his cottage in Ontario. According to reports, Bruce was elected to the MEG Board in 2019 and began to serve as Board Chair in 2020.
Mr. Ian Bruce started working with Cameco’s Board of Directors in 2012. In May 2018, he became the board chairperson. Before this role, he worked in investment banking for more than 30 years and served as the president and CEO of Peters & Co. Ltd. Additionally, he was in charge of the boards of MEG Energy Corporation and Qube Technologies Inc.

The world’s largest publicly traded uranium company, Cameco is mourning the loss of its long-time board member Ian Bruce.
