British model, and television presenter, Holly Willoughby recently shared an Instagram post where she shared a statement to her fans. She said, “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.”
Ms. Willoughby first made her debut as a presenter with Phillip Schofield on This Morning in 2009 and since then she has become the regular presenter of the show until her last appearance on the show in October 2023.
She said in a statement that she shared via her Instagram account, she also said the departure was not easy for her. She officially penned:
“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.”
“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive, and the very best company every day.
“Richard and Judy said ‘We only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’.
“It’s been an honor to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.
“I will miss you all so much.”

The presenter acknowledged that leaving the show was such a difficult goodbye. She has co-hosted the This Morning program for over 14 years but now she stepped back from the show.
Willoughby made a decision to leave the show after a former Pizza Hut worker was remanded in custody on 4 October charged over an alleged plot to abduct and murder her.
