Fiona Hick FMG: The CEO of Fortescue Metals Group quits the mining giant after just six months. FMG said in a statement on Monday that Fiona Hick made a joint decision with the company’s board to quit the business.

The Fortescue Metals chief executive made a decision to leave Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) after being a successful CEO of the company only for six months though she did her best to raise the company on top.
According to reports, her departure was “both friendly and mutual.”
It took place after Twiggy celebrated 20 years of the company on Saturday at a party attended by the country’s political and media elite in the Pilbara, in north-west Western Australia, according to Daily Mail.
The company said in a statement “We warmly wish her the best for her future, We thank Fiona for her valuable efforts since joining Fortescue just under six months ago and wish her all the best with her future pursuits.”
“I have valued the experience at Fortescue and I thank the company and its people for the opportunity.”
Ms Hick said added, “I now look forward to time with family and friends while I consider my next move.”

Fiona Hick was announced as the leader of Fortescue’s iron ore division in November and began in February but on Monday the company announced that she has resigned, “The departure of Fiona has been both friendly and mutual, and we warmly wish her the best for her future,” Twiggy stated.
According to reports, her profit was recorded as AUD$11,119,309 at the time of her departure. She has experience working at Woodside for over 20 years.
Fiona Hick, the chief executive officer of the iron ore division, had resigned after working for around six months. She was immediately replaced by Dino Otranto, a company’s chief operating officer for iron ore.

According to her Linkedin profile, Fiona Hick was a former Chief Executive Officer of Fortescue Metals. She became the Acting Executive Vice President of Operations in September 2019. Before joining Woodside, Fiona worked with Rio Tinto, both in corporate and site-based roles for several years.
