Who is Bray Wyatt?
American professional wrestler, Windham Lawrence Rotunda, well-known as Bray Wyatt while performing in the ring, was known for using his unique charismatic skills in the ring and his tenure in WWE. He was just 36 years old.
He was a third-generation professional WWE champion, following his grandfather Blackjack Mulligan, his father Mike Rotunda, and two of his uncles Barry and Kendall Windham. His young brother Taylor Rotunda, best known as Bo Dallas is also a professional wrestler.
He became a three-time world champion in WWE, holding the WWE Championship once and the Universal Championship twice.
After a break from August 2018 to April 2019, Wyatt came back to the game with a new character, The Fiend.
He married Samantha in 2012 and had two daughters together the couple divorced in 2017 and later he tied the knot with WWE announcer JoJo in 2017.
Bray’s unexpected death is a great loss for his family and the WWE industry.
Bray Wyatt’s Death Reason
Wyatt died after suffering a heart attack on 24 August 2023. His death was announced by WWE chief content creator and former wrestler Triple H on (X) Twitter.
Before his death, he was dealing with an undisclosed ailment which was he suffering from February. Later it was revealed that the ailment was Covid 19 which aggravated an existing heart issue.
Several wrestlers and friends including Dwayne Johnson, Mick Foley, and Matt Hardy, paid tribute on social media.
The Rock wrote on his Twitter account:
“I’m heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. Always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. Loved his presence, promos, in-ring work, and connection with @wwe universe.
He added, “Very unique, cool, and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling. Still processing losing the goat, Terry Funk yesterday, and now Bray today. My love, light, strength & mana to the Rotunda family and Funk family during this tough, heartbreaking time.”
