Binghamton University’s President, Harvey Stenger, has shared a message about the student who was found dead on campus. This happened in the early morning of October 30 at the Bartle Library Tower, the tallest building on the university’s main campus.
The student was found dead at the bottom of the 15-story tower by the first responders from the university’s police and Harpur’s Ferry. The police investigation did not find any criminal activity. President Stenger expressed deep sadness about the student’s death and extended his heartfelt sympathy to the student’s family and friends.
MR. Stenger said, “Our deepest condolences go to the family and friends of the student, We are overwhelmed by the tragic nature of their passing.”
Stenger encouraged “everyone to support each other, look out for each other, and share concerns with campus professionals as appropriate.”
The student’s family and colleagues are totally devastated by the news of his death. The Police are still investigating the case and searching for the evidence.
Binghamton University Suicide Today
According to Authorities at Binghamton University, the body of a student was found outside the 15-story library tower on the Vestal campus. The Harper’s Ferry trainee ambulance service was transmitted to the building early Monday morning.
Binghamton issued an emergency warning at 8:56 a.m. Monday morning informing students that Campus Police were actively probing an incident. The university canceled classes for the day due to an investigation.
SUNY Binghamton University Incident
This is not the first time that at the University a dead body was found dead. Before this incident, there were another dead body was found at Binghamton University around five years ago. A 22-year-old Haley Anderson was killed at the Binghamton premises in 2018.
